Abstract:
Resource Constrained Devices (RCD) which constructs the pervasive computing are equipped with too less resources to deploy data mining applications with preserving privacy. Therefore this paper proposes a communication efficient and perturbation based privacy preserving association rule mining (ARM) algorithm for RCD. Existing cryptography based privacy preserving solutions are too heavy for RCDs. Communicational and computational optimization is another crucial issue for RCDs too. The proposed algorithm combines two major contributions: communication efficient ARM algorithm and privacy preserving communication targeted for RCD. Proposed semi-trusted and perturbation based privacy model is introduced with simplified ARM algorithm to make it deployable in RCDs
