What spelling standards should
I follow? |
| Since
American English is acceptable internationally, the UbiCC will
continue to use American English grammar and spelling in its
standards. This should pose no difficulty to groups developing
international standards. In cases where British spelling is used
in an internationally recognized term (e.g., “Fibre Distributed
Data Interface”), that spelling may be retained. |
|
What reference style should I
use? |
References should be indicated in the text by consecutive
numbers in square brackets, as [1], [2] etc.
All references should appear together at the end of the paper.
The full references are cited in a numbered list of the
following style:
In cases of journals
[1] J. M. Davis: Simplified Diaphragm Analysis, Journal of
Structural Div., ASCE, Vol. 103, pp. 2098-2109 (1977).
In cases of books
[2] F. R. Shanley: Basic Structures, John Willey & Sons
Inc., pp. 291-314 (1947)
Authors are allowed to use such abbreviations of academic
societies as ACI, ASCE, ASTM, CEB, ISO, RILEM, WCEE, JCI, JSCE,
AIJ |
|
How long will it take for my
paper to get published in the journal? |
| We
try to review paper within two months of submission. |
|
Where can I find Manuscript
Preparation Guidelines? |
| UBICC
Journal provides a style file for MSWord. Please prepare your
manuscript according to this style. Do not use other templates.
Most formatting codes are removed and replaced when we prepare
your manuscript for printing, so please input your material as
simply as possible and avoid excessive use of special
formatting. For editing and print preparation we will use your
MSWord document.
|
|
Where can I find Copyrights
Transfer Form? |
| With
each manuscript you must submit an UBICC Journal Copyright form
which transfers the copyright to the unpublished article to
UBICC Journal and which warrants that the article is original
with the author and does not infringe the copyright of any other
parties. Before publication, the Editorial and Publication
Office must receive a signed hard copy of the Copyright form.

How does the 'author search'
work? |
A
query is interpreted as a set of prefixes of name parts. If you
enter a few words, you get the names which include these words
as prefixes of some name parts:
UbiCC Xplore Search
- The query and the names stored
in UbiCC are broken in parts. The delimiters of this
'tokenizing' are spaces and punctuation marks. The punctuation
marks are not relevant for the matching. "Ar-b-c." produces
the same result as "Ar b c".
- The matching is NOT
case-sensitive.
- The order of the query words
does not matter, i.e. the queries "Petra M A" and "M Petra A"
are equivalent.
- If you end a query word with a
$-sign, only exact matches of this word are shown. Try the
queries "xi li" vs. "xi$li" vs. "xi li$" vs. "xi$li$" ("xi$ li"
and "xi$li" are equivalent).
|
|
How can I correct errors? |
- After review, if modifications
are required in paper, the article will be assigned to 'Modify
Paper' panel.
- If option is not active,
E-Mail camera ready paper to 'submit@ubicc.org'.
Don't forget to mention your paper ID and Paper Title.
- PDF File size must not be more
than 5 MB.

checked for linguistic consistency by native speaker. The level
of written English of submitted papers will be ranked between
1-5 where 1 is for paper with excellent English and 5 is for
paper whose English is subjected to major revision. Top 3 levels
will be considered for acceptance. The lower levels will be
proposed for revision and could be conditionally accepted.
Thematic review will decide weather to accept or reject
according to the originality, significance for theory and
